Protesters around the world are storming the streets demanding an end to the bombing and killing of civilians, particularly children, in Gaza. 

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered in London on Saturday urging an end to Israel's attacks in the besieged coastal enclave. 

 Last weekend, 100,000 people took to the streets in London demanding an immediate end to the bombing. 

Police expect similar numbers again. 

Rallies were expected in many UK cities, including Manchester and Glasgow. 
 
The demos come as Israel expands its strikes, three weeks after Hamas launched an attack on occupied territories bordering Gaza. 

On Saturday afternoon, crowds started to gather near the Golden Jubilee Bridge holding signs saying "Gaza, stop the massacre" and "Free Palestine, end Israeli occupation". 
 
A sound system led people to chant "Stop arming Israel. Stop bombing Gaza", "We are all Palestinian" along with a slogan saying "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." 
 
Home Secretary Suella Braverman had previously urged police chiefs to consider interpreting the "river to the sea" chant as an "expression of a violent desire to see Israel erased from the world". 
 
Large crowds were expected to gather around the Embankment, Whitehall, Strand, Westminster and Waterloo Bridges, the Metropolitan Police said. 

The force said more than 1,000 officers had been deployed. 

 About 3,000 protestors gathered in Belfast city center for a rally organized by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign. 

It follows an upsurge in Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip over the past three weeks. 
 
Several pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli demonstrations have been held in Belfast since the violence erupted. 

On Saturday protesters gathered at Writer's Square to show their support for the Palestinian people. 
 
They then walked along Royal Avenue to the City Hall. 
 
Khalid Meshaal, one of the political leaders of Hamas, gave a virtual speech at the rally of supporters of Palestine in Kerala. This demonstration was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami of India. 

 Another large demonstration was held in Istanbul, Turkey, where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan toured. 
 
Erdogan said, “Those who shed crocodile tears for the killing of Ukrainian civilians in the war with Russia yesterday are silent witnesses and justifiers of Israel's crimes in the Gaza Strip today.” 
 
In the pro-Palestine rally in Istanbul, British singer Yusuf Islam also called for a cease-fire in Gaza as he addressed the "Great Palestine Meeting". 

“My message today is to plead for an end to the bombing of innocent families, their homes, and especially the little children who make up half the number of those who have been killed,” said Islam, also known as Cat Stevens. 

Also, Muslims in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur came to the streets and called for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the killing of children in the Gaza Strip.
